tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 in 1976. Gonzalez was born in southern California. He was a student at Huntington Beach High School and was a star basketball and football player. Gonzalez continued to be a star in these sports at the University of California, Berkeley. He was instrumental in leading the team in football to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he set a record for the school bowl by catching nine times. Gonzalez was the basketball coach into the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament just a few months after. He left college to join the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Gonzalez as the 13th overall selection. Gonzalez was a player for the Chiefs from 1997 until 2008. He was then transferred to the Atlanta Falcons. After Gonzalez's first NFL year, he caught no less than 59 passes each season.
